Merz b. Schwanen 1950s Long Sleeve White Tee is made out of 100% organic cotton in a lightweight and stretchy fabric. Featuring their original loopwheel fabric and cut to resemble vintage tees, these are comfortable on the body and soft on the skin. Whether you are wearing them as a primary layer tee, or using it as an undershirt, these 1950sLS tees are quite versatile. Made on original loopwheelers in Germany-one of two remaining loopwheeler operations in the world.
Note: Runs slightly small and due to shrinkage after wash, recommend sizing up one full size (exception is if you intend to wear this as an undergarment or prefer skin-tight fit). Cold wash, hang dry. Length and sleeve will shrink approximately 2" after wash. Other measurements will have about 1" shrinkage after wash, but will stretch back out to original size upon wear. For additional information on sizing and shrinkage, see our blog post here.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs (currently closer to 170 lbs) wearing size 7 | XL (two sizes up from his regular TTS, M) for a relaxed fit. After wash, the tee will tighten up across the width (chest) and shorten in the length, but will still generally have a relaxed fit. Model can also wear size 6 | L for a slimmer fit, which is his typical Merz knit size.
Measurement Note: Due to the irregularities characteristic of loopwheelers, there will be slight variations within each size. Accordingly, the measurements posted are general targets that we've found to be the average for each size. If you are more particular about the sizing, or know that you need one with a specific measurement within a size, feel free to email us for us to double-check measurements before purchasing. In general, we do not find the irregularities significant enough to impact the size you should wear.
