The Merz b. Schwanen 207 Short-Sleeve Henley in Charcoal is an excellent warm-weather piece that can easily be swapped in for one of your standard t-shirts for a slightly more refined look. The mother of pearl buttons add a nice touch to this otherwise understated but very wearable loopwheel henley. These are made with 100% organic cotton and have a slim silhouette.
Note: Runs slightly small and due to shrinkage after wash, recommend sizing up one full size (exception is if you intend to wear this as an undergarment or prefer skin-tight fit). Cold wash, hang dry. Length and sleeve will shrink approximately 2" after wash. Other measurements will have about 1" shrinkage after wash, but will stretch back out to original size upon wear. For additional information on Merz sizing and shrinkage, see our blog post here.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs wearing size 5 | M (his typical American brand size) for a slim/snug fit in the upper chest and decent room through the torso. This is one size down from what the model typically wears in most other Merz knits (i.e. 1950s, 215, etc.). Model can also wear size 6 | L for a more comfortable and slightly looser fitting henley. As model has slimmed down a tad over the years, he prefers the size 5 | M in the Merz 206 and 207 Henley, specifically for a more snug/fitted look on a henley. See model wearing size 6 | L in the Grey Melange.
Measurement Note: Due to the irregularities characteristic of loopwheelers, there will be slight variations within each size. Additionally, consistent with how Merz measures their shirts, the Length measurement is taken from the highest point of the shirt (where the neckline and shoulder meet), instead of from the center of the neckline. In general, we do not find the irregularities significant enough to impact the size you should wear.
