Clocking at close to 11oz, these Merz b. Schwanen heavyweight short sleeve tees are one of the toughest loopwheel tees you'll find. The Nature heavyweight tee comes in in their Relaxed Fit, which will fit comfortably for an easy-going style. The heavyweight fabric has an additional slub to it that gives it a textured look.
Note that due to the traditional manufacturing processes, sometimes these 2S14 tees will show varied creases throughout the t-shirt, which can be permanent (see vertical crease line coming down the middle of the model's chest). If you prefer a t-shirt with a cleaner face / appearance, we recommend looking elsewhere.
These have a similar fit as the 214 2-thread tee, which features a slightly wider circumference around the body to allow for a more relaxed fit than their standard 215 tee. These tees are made on original loopwheelers in Germany-one of two remaining loopwheeler operations in the world, and the result is a seamless tubular fabric that will be your most comfortable henley.
Note: This is Merz's Relaxed Fit, which fits a little larger than their Classic Fit. We recommend still taking one size up for a relaxed fitted look, but you may be able to take your typical tops size (rather than sizing up) if you want a slim fit or if you are on the smaller end of your size. However, double check the measurements for the chest and length to make sure you've got the right size. The garment will shrink about 1" in length after wash, with less shrinkage in the chest. Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs. wearing size 5 | M (his TTS, and one down from his typical Merz size of 6 | L) for a slim fit; the tee is a bit constricting and tight in the armpits/chest when putting it on and taking it off. Model can also wear 6 | L (his typical Merz size for the classic/slim fits) for an oversized fit. Note that the shirt will shrink a little in the chest, and about 1" in length after wash.
Measurement Note: Due to the irregularities characteristic of loopwheelers, there will be slight variations within each size. Accordingly, the measurements posted are general targets that we've found to be the average or each size. If you are more particular about the sizing, or know that you need one with a specific measurement within a size, feel free to leave a note at check-out indicating your measurement preference. In general, we do not find the irregularities significant enough to impact the size you should wear.
