This 19oz Left Hand Twill Type III Denim Jacket was made for the true denim jacket adventurer, one for the ages, and a piece that you could take to the grave. The IH-526L uses a significantly rigid and sturdy selvedge denim that will feel quite wonderful on the body, much like a cardboard box would. However, with time and dedication, like all denim, these will eventually give in and mold to you as you wear it. This 19oz "lefty" denim has all the characteristics needed to produce some incredible fades and whiskering. All it needs is a formidable wearer to take up the challenge.
Note: We generally recommend taking your typical American brand size (typically one size smaller than your Iron Heart size) if you are on the smaller end of your size or prefer a slim fit. Due to how rigid and sturdy this denim is, sizing can be a little tricky. However, our recommendation to go with your typical American brand size (or your TTS) is based on these being pre-rinsed so most of the shrinkage is out. However, you can get additional shrinkage (up to ~0.5" in both chest and length) with a longer hot soak/wash. If you want to err on the safe side and also want some room to layer, you can size up one to your typical Iron Heart shirt/flannel size and do a hot soak to shrink it down some more. Sizes are tagged by numbers, with 36 corresponding to S, 38/M, 40/L, and so on.
Model: 6'0'' and 175 lbs wearing size 40/L (one size up from his typical American brand size) for a roomy and comfortable fit. The jacket currently fits large and boxy, so model prefers the 38/M for a slimmer fit. The 38/M fits better all around, but due to how rigid and thick the jacket is, minimal layering is possible in the 38/M. The size 40/L would probably work after a hot soak/wash to shrink it down a little more (~0.5"), and it would also drape better after a wash and not look so rigid and boxy.
