One of the best standout indigo shirts you can find, especially in a heavyweight caliber, the UES Indigo Tricotine Shirt in a hefty 15.15oz weight is a custom fabric with a type of twill that is indigo rope-dyed and has the appearance of a knit. This can certainly feel more like an overshirt or denim jacket than a standalone button-up shirt. On the body, it has a similar rigidity as you would find with a medium-weight denim jacket (think raw denim jackets), but just as the jackets would, this should also soften up with wear. This is one of these pieces that will richly reward you with some time and dedication.
Note: Runs small. Most should take one size up from your typical tops size, or take the same size as you do in Japanese brands (e.g. if you wear a M in most American brands, take a L in this). You can also take your typical American brand size if you are on the smaller end of your size or prefer a slimmer fit, but take note of the length measurements. These are once washed so there is minimal shrinkage expected. Cold wash, hang dry.
Model: 6'0" and 175 lbs. wearing size 3 | L (one size up from TTS, M) for a comfortable fit, somewhat roomy in the chest/body, and slim through the elbow/arms (especially when bending). Model can also layer a hoodie underneath a size 3 | L. This is the same size that model wears in most Japanese brands (Large). Mode's TTS is M in most other American brands. Model can also wear size 2 | M for a much slimmer fit, but the shirt comes up short for the model (see last three photos of model in size 2 | M).
