Please note that the July 2022 restock has the Tobacco Chamois leather in a slightly lighter brown shade than these photos. The leather will darken over time, and can intentionally be darkened using Neatsfoot oil.
The Marvington II boot is the second iteration in the "Marvington" series, featuring a Tobacco Chamois Roughout leather with a Vibram Mini Ripple sole on Viberg's iconic WWII-era Service Boot. We teamed up once more with our pals @cuffington and @marvaments to bring forth a supremely casual, yet subtly refined pair of boots. The Vibram Mini Ripple in Cream adds a casual flair to the boot, while the tobacco brown leather feels slightly more dressier. The Natural Chromexcel leather tongue adds a slight nuance to the overall look, but this time coming in a more tonal combination rather than our typical contrast tongue look. And for those who are wondering how it does in rain, well the chamois roughout - with its irregular sheen - is a trooper under rainy conditions with its highly oiled content. With each release comes something different, but the Marvington II continues along the lines of being uniquely Withered Fig - a roughout leather, a 1035 last, and a varied tongue.
For more photos and details on this boot, see our blog post here on The Shade.
The Service Boot is based off their original model, first produced in 1931, and ultimately became a standard pattern and style for many countries during WWII as their standard issue military boot.
