The Viberg Service Boot in Desert Sand Waxy Commander features a rugged and heavily waxed suede from C.F. Stead. This pair has all the bells and whistles to make it a versatile pair that will serve you well in both rugged outdoors and the concrete cityscapes. The waxy leather has a ton of variation and random scratches/lines to it, which will only develop more with wear. This is an excellent pair if you're looking to mix up your usual smooth leather with something more rugged.
This pair is built on Viberg's semi-anatomical 2040 last, which has an E-width toebox, a narrow waist, and narrow heel. However, due to the anatomical features, the narrowness of the pair may not affect you, and may actually feel better as it bends with your feet.
The Service Boot is based off their original model, first produced in 1931, and ultimately became a standard pattern and style for many countries during WWII as their standard issue military boot.
